008: A MING GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF USHNISHAVIJAYA YONGLE MARK AND PERIOD A MING GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF USHNISHAVIJAYA YONGLE MARK AND PERIOD. No repair or restoration. Dimensions: 11 1/2 x 9 3/4 x 7 in. In excellent condition. Provenance: Robert Edwards (1883-1979) and his wife Gloria (1886-1960). Thence by descent. Robert arrived in Shanghai in 1910, to work for Jardine, Matheson & Co. He married Gloria Byrne in 1917 and it was Gloria who took a special interest in acquiring Chinese antiques.
