A PORCELAIN VASE KANGXI MARK AND PERIOD. Dimensions: 8 1/2 x 5 in. Fritting/glaze loss to the rim as pictured. Provenance: The David Collins(1902-1975) Collection, acquired during Mr. Collins' career in the British Consular Service in China and Eastern Tibet between 1920s and 1930s, and thence by descent in the Collins family. A picture of Collins' residence shows part of his collection in 1940s. During his stay in Tibet and China, Collins built a significant collection of Tibetan and Chinese art.
