A DOUCAI BOWL YONGZHENG MARK AND PERIOD.

Dimensions: 4 x 2 1/4 in. Very good condition with a few glaze hairlines on the body. Provenance: The David Collins(1902-1975) Collection, acquired during Mr. Collins' career in the British Consular Service in China and Eastern Tibet between 1920s and 1930s, and thence by descent in the Collins family. A picture of Collins' residence shows the present bowl in 1940s. During his stay in Tibet and China, Collins built a significant collection of Tibetan and Chinese art.
