017: A SONG DYNASTY JUNYAO PURPLE SPLASHED MEIPING VASE A SONG DYNASTY JUNYAO PURPLE SPLASHED MEIPING VASE. Dimensions: 13 3/4 × 6 3/4 in. It is in excellent condition with no repairs, chips, or cracks. Provenance: Robert Edwards (1883-1979) and his wife Gloria (1886-1960). Thence by descent. Robert arrived in Shanghai in 1910 to work for Jardine, Matheson & Co. He married Gloria Byrne in 1917, who took a special interest in acquiring Chinese antiques.
