104: AN EARLY MING DYNASTY JUNYAO PURPLE AND LAVENDER-BLUE GLAZED IMPERIAL FLOWERPOT AN EARLY MING DYNASTY JUNYAO PURPLE AND LAVENDER-BLUE GLAZED IMPERIAL FLOWERPOT. Dimensions: 8 1/2 x 6 3/4 x 5 3/4 in. It is in excellent condition with no repairs, chips, or cracks. Provenance: Robert Edwards (1883-1979) and his wife Gloria (1886-1960). Thence by descent. Robert arrived in Shanghai in 1910, to work for Jardine, Matheson & Co. He married Gloria Byrne in 1917 and it was Gloria who took a special interest in acquiring Chinese antiques.
